As Training Programme Director, you will be responsible for coordinating the training across the region. You will ensure that national standards, determined by Royal Colleges, the GMC and NHS-E WT&E are implemented locally. Applicants must be currently working within the West Midlands area at consultant level or equivalent including SAS doctors in the specialty school area. Experience within the specialty at consultant or SAS doctor level is essential as is considerable experience of working with learners or doctors in training in an educational context.
The post attracts 1 PA which will be reimbursed to the successful candidate's employing Trust at £10,000 (pro rata.)
It is expected that Training Programme Directors continue in clinical practice while fulfilling the role. The post will be offered for 3 years in the first instance with satisfactory annual appraisal, with the option of extending for a further 3 years if mutually agreed.

Qualifications and Training

* Attendance at courses aimed to support educational development (example: educator courses, Train the trainer, etc).
