Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Leader Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to work at a school in Keighley. The school supports students aged 5 - 19 with a range of Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Mild/Severe Autism, Down Syndrome, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children and young people on a 1:1 or small group basis within a classroom setting.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm; hours may slightly differ.
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience working with children or young people with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs and challenging behaviours.
* The ability to reliably commute to work via public transport or personal vehicle.
* A patient, nurturing approach to supporting students with a wide range of abilities and needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other support staff.
* Approachability and nurturing qualities.
* The ability to adapt and respond to the dynamic and individual needs of students.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
