The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, Essex, is seeking dedicated consultants to join our dynamic urology team. Key Responsibilities
You will be expected to have broad experience of Urology Surgery with the ability and drive to contribute to the further development of the expertise in this area. The appointee will be proficient in all aspects of Urology Surgery and will fully participate in and support the Urology Surgery on-call rota. The successful applicants will also play an important part in the teaching and mentoring of our trainee doctors.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration
* Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via: CCT or CESR (CP). Date to be within 6 months of interview.
Experience
* Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on range of problems both emergency and elective within urology.
* Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
* Expertise in core urology.
* Ability to organise and manage out-patient priorities, surgical waiting lists and operating lists.
* Ability to advise on efficient and smooth running of urology service.
* Ability to apply research outcomes to clinical and surgical problems.
* Ability to teach clinical and operative skills.
* Experience of supervising Foundation doctors and Specialty trainees.
