As a Network OSS Transformation Product Owner, you will ensure our strategic network objectives align with stakeholder needs, working closely with technical experts, partners, and development teams to deliver end-to-end enhancements across our specialist platforms.
What you’ll be doing
Key Responsibilities
As a newly formed role within networks, you will be responsible for collaborating with other Peer Product Owners across different platforms.
You will help to shape and be responsible for:
Product Vision & Roadmap: Develop and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap for Network OSS transformation, meeting the needs of stakeholders across NetDevOps, Operations, Service Management, Maintenance, 3rd Line Support, and Design functions.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, operations, partners, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
End-to-End Delivery: Oversee the delivery of Network OSS transformation projects from planning and design to implementation and testing, ensuring effective user adoption.
Product Development Lifecycle: Participate in requirement gathering, specification writing, and prioritization throughout the product development lifecycle.
Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and scalability.
Data-Driven Decisions: Drive data-driven decision-making across the product lifecycle, from initial research to post-launch analysis.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor product performance and stakeholder feedback post-launch, iterating to improve effectiveness.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with transformation projects, ensuring minimal disruption to existing services and maintaining security compliance.
Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the primary point of contact for all Radio & Satellite change initiatives, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
Mentorship: Provide mentoring and support for engineering professionals and team members, acting as a technical resource for process improvement and agile working.
Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Network engineering OSS.
End-to-End Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of the OSS environment, including upgrades.
Stakeholder Management: Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills and provide financial oversight of projects without holding a budget or managing people.
Collaboration: Work alongside peer product owners across all different platforms in Networks.
Skills and Experiences
Skills & Experience:
We’re looking for an established Product Owner ideally with some experience in the Satellite and Radio field or equivalent network arena.
Some other experiences we're looking for are:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of Satellite, Radio, or other network control platforms and technologies, including network topologies, inventory, and processes.
Strong understanding of Network OSS and transformation processes.
Experience as a product owner focused on Network OSS transformation and process improvement.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Proven track record of managing complex network transformation projects.
