Anderson Knight are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-known client for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team in Glasgow city centre.
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for (but not limited to):
* Processing purchase invoices
* Processing staff expenses
* Managing petty cash
* Reconciling all bank transactions
* Preparing weekly payment reports for management
* Ad hoc support with purchase ledger and sales ledger, including credit control
* Assisting with VAT accounting, ensuring that the appropriate VAT codes are applied to financial transactions
* Support month-end and year-end processes
* Support annual audit processes
* Assisting the Finance department with ad hoc projects and the deployment of system enhancements.
About You:
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively impact and influence others
* Relevant experience in this or a similar role is preferred
* Experience with purchase ledger and sales ledger management
* Ability to understand, question, organise and challenge a range of financial data
* Ability to present ideas and information, tailored for each audience
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills, as well as a keen eye for detail
* Highly organised with diligent and acute attention to detail
* Proven ability to work as part of a small, successful team
* Strong time management and task management abilities
