We are now looking for an Instructional Designer to join our RELEX team. You’ll join a cross-functional team representing employee end-users, operations leadership, and learning & development experts who will help you succeed in your new role. Together the team will bring the RELEX learning vision to life to support the talent development of our colleagues, customers, and partners. You will help the team achieve this goal by driving impactful human-centered learning initiatives and designing learning projects/programs to support employee learning, growth, and development.
The Instructional Designer will be key in creating engaging learning experiences that support skill development across the organization. You'll work closely with subject matter experts to design and develop clear, impactful learning programs, including digital assets. Your focus will be on transforming complex information into easy-to-understand materials, ensuring employees, customers, and partners have the knowledge they need to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
In collaboration with the Learning Strategy and Learning Enablement teams along with regional partners, and subject matter experts they will provide high-touch involvement to ensure leaders and participants have an exceptional learning experience.
What you’ll be doing:
* Learning Design : Create engaging learning experiences that develop critical skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Work with the professional services and product teams to design comprehensive learning journeys for employees, customers, and partners.
* Digital Training Solutions: Develop innovative and continuously improving training solutions. Produce conceptual design documents, storyboards, project plans, timelines, and issue/resolution logs.
* Content Creation: Consult with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and key partners to create instructional content that is suitable for instructor-led, self-study, and/or online delivery formats. Ensure learning content is engaging, well-organized, and effectively meets the learner's needs.
* Consulting: Lead content intake sessions and conduct comprehensive Learning Needs Analyses (LNAs) to guide decision-making and shape the design and development of effective training programs that align with business objectives.
* Collaboration: Coordinate the training content strategy with product and technical teams to ensure alignment with product documentation and other resources.
* Instructional Design Best Practices: Apply cognitive and instructional principles to your work, ensuring that learning content is both effective and learner-centered.
* Governance: Ensure all digital learning initiatives and requests align with established policies, standards, and regulations.
* Engagement: Champion work of the Customer Operations Learning and Development department and serve as an ambassador in all interactions inside and outside the organization
What you’ll bring to the table: Required skills:
* Bachelor’s degree, instructional design certification, or a Master’s degree in a related field.
* 2+ years of proven experience as an instructional designer.
* Experience building and designing large-scale learning programs, content, and materials from scratch.
* Effective project management skills, including scoping a project, identifying key stakeholders, and developing a project plan with milestones
* Ability to identify learner needs, analyze complex information, and translate it into professional, engaging, and effective learning content.
* Strong understanding of cognitive and instructional principles that inform content creation and design.
* Self-starter mentality with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
* Strong presentation/delivery skills as well as smaller group facilitation skills

* Ability to quickly learn new content tools and internal applications
* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
* Past experience working in the software industry is a huge plus!
Preferred skills:
* Strong e-learning and graphic design capabilities, with the ability to edit graphics, video, and build layouts that are instructionally sound.
* Knowledge and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) platforms preferred.
* Expertise in authoring and development tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Camtasia is strongly preferred.
* Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Acrobat and InDesign, is strongly preferred.
