We are currently looking for a full-time teacher to work in a Primary School in the heart of Caerphilly.
The role is based in KS2 and will be needed from February until July to cover a sabbatical cover. The School is a 2 form entry and is a large, welcoming, and supportive school.
The right candidate will have previous experience working as a teacher and be creative, driven, and enthusiastic.
To be considered for this KS2 teaching position, you must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be a newly qualified teacher (NQT) and have a desire to become a committed member of the team. The KS2 Teacher must have great subject knowledge and a real passion for teaching, with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons while upholding great classroom management skills.
Typical duties of a supply Primary Key Stage 2 Teacher:
1. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment while maintaining discipline.
2. Plan, prepare, and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
3. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development.
4. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area.
5. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
6. Communicate effectively and appropriately with staff, pupils, and parents, and manage the learning and teaching of individual pupils, groups, and classes effectively.
