Teaching Assistant
Are you seeking a fulfilling opportunity to support young people with special educational needs in a dynamic school environment? Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a reputable SEN School in Lymington, Hampshire.
The school is a leading educational provider committed to providing quality education and support to young people aged 7-19 years with a range of learning difficulties including: Autism & Moderate Learning Difficulties.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the education and development of students during the school day.
Contract Details:
1. Hours: 08:30 – 16:30 (Monday to Friday) This includes a 30-minute unpaid break.
2. Part-Time: Part-time days are accommodated, but not part-time hours.
3. Working Weeks: 39 weeks per year (term-time only role).
4. Hourly Rate: £ per hour.
5. Location: Lymington, Hampshire
6. Contract: Temp-To-Perm
Responsibilities:
7. Supporting young people throughout the education day under the direction of a teacher/tutor.
8. Assisting students in accessing a specifically designed curriculum through group learning and individual learning programmes.
9. Collaborating with a team to ensure the educational and developmental needs of students are met.
10. May work as a subject Teaching Assistant or provide 1:1 support to a young person.
Requirements:
11. Must have passed Maths & English GCSE (grade C or level 4).
12. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
13. Passionate about supporting the educational and developmental needs of young people.
14. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
15. Empathy, patience, and resilience when working with students with diverse needs.
Eligibility:
16. Right to Work in the UK.
17. Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate or willingness to undergo a new application.
18. Two professional references related to education or childcare.
