Bench Joiner / Machinist Bench Joiners / Machinists wanted Salary depends on experience - £18 – £22 Per hour Mon - Fri 07:30 am - 16:30 pm Overtime Available 1 hour per day Lunch Break 45 minutes / 2 Tea Breaks of 10 minutes The Bench Joiner must have a full clean driving licence & not reliant on Public Transport to get to work. Trial period 1 Month The ideal candidate should have at least 5 to 10 Years’ Experience of bench joinery and be able to demonstrate their knowledge and use of woodworking machinery. Your work will include architectural joinery, handcrafted timber windows and doors, sash windows, circular & arch windows. Requirements of the Bench Joiner An eye for detail, an interest in building preservation and a pride in one’s work is essential. Working within the joinery workshop to create and produce high quality, traditional and bespoke joinery products. Competent in reading and working from drawings. Proficient in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, planes etc. Able hit deadlines when it comes to joinery projects. Able to report back to the team leader if any issues are identified during the assembly process. Possessing your own battery tools & hand joinery tools is necessary. Must have relevant qualifications and or have time served Must have a full clean driving licence & not reliant on Public Transport to get to work. Duties of the Bench Joiner Producing and working from cutting lists taken directly off drawings. Setting up and operating the woodworking machinery. planer thicknesser, spindle moulders, tenor & mortice, cross-cutting techniques & four sided planer. To work on site and be part of the installation team if required. The Bench Joiner must have the right to work in the UK.
