Role Overview
As Content Producer - Podcasts, you will be responsible for bringing podcast episodes to life from concept through to post-production. You’ll work closely with the creative and editorial teams to ensure our podcasts meet the highest standards of storytelling, engaging our audience through compelling audio experiences. This role requires a strong understanding of the podcasting landscape, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to manage production processes while ensuring seamless execution and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Podcast Content Development & Execution
* Collaborate with the editorial and creative teams to develop innovative podcast concepts and ensure they align with the brand vision and audience interests.
* Lead the production process for podcast episodes, including scheduling, guest coordination, and managing logistics.
* Oversee the editing and post-production of podcasts, ensuring high-quality audio, seamless storytelling, and strong editorial integrity.
Audience Engagement & Growth
* Work with the marketing and content teams to promote podcast episodes, growing and engaging the audience through cross-channel distribution and creative promotional strategies.
* Monitor audience feedback and analytics, using data to refine content strategies and improve engagement across platforms.
Collaboration & Coordination
* Coordinate with internal teams (editorial, marketing, social media) to ensure the timely release of episodes and cohesive messaging.
* Work with external guests, influencers, and industry experts to ensure impactful and relevant content for the podcast audience.
Innovation & Creativity
* Keep up with podcasting trends, formats, and emerging technologies, integrating new ideas and strategies to elevate the podcasting experience.
* Bring fresh ideas for podcast themes, formats, and storytelling techniques to keep the content exciting and relevant to the audience.
Success Indicators
* High-Quality Content Delivery: Ensure each episode is delivered on time, with high production values, clear storytelling, and a compelling format.
* Audience Growth: Contribute to audience expansion through creative and targeted promotional strategies, helping the podcast reach and retain listeners.
* Engagement: Drive meaningful interaction with the audience, translating feedback into content improvements and ensuring the podcast resonates deeply.
* Innovation: Introduce new podcast formats, ideas, or tools that improve the content, production, and audience engagement.
Key Skills & Expertise
* Podcast Production Experience: Proven experience in producing, editing, and managing podcast content from concept to delivery.
* Storytelling & Content Creation: Strong narrative skills and a passion for creating content that is both informative and entertaining.
* Audio Production Expertise: Familiarity with audio editing software (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition) and best practices for high-quality audio production.
* Project Management: Experience managing the logistics of content production, including schedules, deadlines, and communication with multiple teams.
* Data-Driven Content Strategy: Ability to analyse audience data and feedback, using insights to shape and refine content.
* Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a cohesive podcast experience.
