Job Description About Our Team: Due to the continued growth and expansion of our Nuclear Team in our Warrington office we are looking to increase our technical workforce and are seeking to recruit an Electrical Apprentice Technician to join our EC&I - Electrical Control and Installation Team for a January 2025 onwards start with a view to enrolling with a training provider Sept 2025. Our Warrington Nuclear team provide multi-disciplinary consultancy to the nuclear industry in both the nuclear new build, SMR’s, life extension, decommissioning and MoD sectors. Projects include all stages of design from feasibility to detailed designs and site construction supervision both in the UK and internationally. Our clients are a mix between large energy utility generators, government, to private developers. Here’s what you’ll do: As an Electrical Apprentice Technician you will be required to support a team of engineers on tasks including the following: Produce detailed technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., Autocad, Revit, Dialux, AMTEC, Electrical OEM). Develop drawings and models for electrical elements, including fire alarm, lighting, LV power distribution and control systems. Update and maintain existing drawings and models as required. Work closely with the Mechanical team and other engineering disciplines, architects, and other design team members to understand project requirements and objectives. Ensure all drawings and models comply with industry standards, regulations, and company quality procedures. Preparation of designs deliverables using CAD and BIM software tools. Preparation of design documentation; basis of design, design method statements and specifications. Develop an understanding of highly regulated industries. Develop an understanding of Safety Cases and the supporting documentation. Develop an understanding of risk and the preparation of designer’s risk assessments.
