An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Occupational Therapy Service for a full-time Community Occupational Therapist (36 hours). The successful candidate will work as part of a team of Occupational Therapists and Service Coordinators supported by two team managers and the Group Manager.
West Lothian Council is a vibrant and forward-thinking council promoting teamwork, encouraging continuing professional development (CPD), peer support, and regular supervision. The service offers a rotational program covering three areas: Housing, Independent Mobility Assessment (IMA’s), and first point of contact (Duty), as well as contributing to the success of ‘All about me Assessments’. These assessments support minor and major adaptations, equipment provision, specialist seating, and manual handling.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
