Our client is a professional Sub-Con precision machining company working within various sectors including aerospace, metrology, rheology, semi-conductor and oil & gas. They have a small team that work to tight deadlines and offers job variety at a fast pace.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Deburrer to join our client's precision machining team. The successful candidate will be responsible for finishing and deburring machined components to the highest quality standards. You will work with various materials and ensure that all components meet the required specifications before final inspection and dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:
⦁ Perform deburring, polishing, and finishing of precision-machined components using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
⦁ Inspect parts to ensure they meet engineering drawings and specifications.
⦁ Use various deburring techniques such as chamfering, filing, grinding, and edge-breaking.
⦁ Work closely with machinists and quality inspectors to identify and correct any finishing defects.
⦁ Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following health and safety guidelines.
⦁ Handle and process a variety of materials including aluminium, stainless steel, and other alloys.
⦁ Meet production deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and precision.
Requirements:
⦁ Previous experience in a deburring or precision finishing role within a machining or manufacturing environment.
⦁ Strong attention to detail and ability to work with small, intricate components.
⦁ Familiarity with deburring tools and techniques, including the use of hand files, rotary tools, and abrasives.
⦁ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
⦁ Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
⦁ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
⦁ Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing setting.
Desirable Skills:
⦁ Experience working in sectors such as aerospace or oil & gas.
⦁ Familiarity with CNC machining processes and quality control procedures.
⦁ Ability to use measuring tools such as callipers and micrometers.
