Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer – Ref: V308
Based in Northamptonshire/Bedfordshire
This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your career within the Fire and Security industry.
The role involves: -
* Commissioning of small and large Fire Alarm/Detection Systems including networking.
* Ensuring systems are installed to the correct standards.
* Assisting the project team to get the completed project completed within the time frame and budget.
* Assisting in the commissioning of other systems when requested.
* Ensuring all commissioning tasks are completed efficiently, accurately and within timescales.
* Maintaining a high level of technical knowledge and keeping up to date with Standards and Regulations.
* Travel to various client locations within designated area.
* Attending service or maintenance sites when commissioning work isn’t available/ongoing.
* Ensure that the client is satisfied with the servicing/commissioning of the system prior to leaving site.
* Accurate completion of documentation.
* Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
* Working to safe health and safety practices at all times.
Key experience/qualifications:
* Experience in Commissioning Fire Alarm/Detection Systems.
* Working knowledge of all British Standards relevant to Fire Alarm Systems such as BS5839, BS7273 & BS6266.
* Understanding of statutory legislation including RRFSO, Building Regulation / Approved Documents etc.
* FIA Level 3 Advanced Commissioning Engineer.
* Experience on both addressable, non-addressable and Part 6 systems.
* Experience with Gent products is essential.
* Experience on large networked systems.
* Experience of Warden Call, Nurse Call, Door Entry and Access Control is a distinct advantage.
* Full UK driving licence.
* ECS Card.

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 5.00pm.
Salary: £38,000 - £41,000 dependant on skills, experience, and qualifications.
