You will be based in our Leeds office. Job description With over 50 years of experience in the rail industry, we’ve delivered complex and challenging multidisciplinary projects all over the world. Our expertise extends to depots, operations, maintenance analytics and asset management across all aspects of rail, including transport, technical and sustainability assessments and systems infrastructure. As a BIM Technician you will take the role in the implementation of BIM deliverables, ensuring all BIM outputs are produced to a high standard in accordance with project requirements. Key responsibilities: Assist in the delivery of projects from technical design to construction stage Utilise OpenBuilding Designer and MicroStation for detailed model creation and documentation, ensuring models are fully coordinated and clash-free Lead the production of high-quality 3D models and detailed construction drawings for specific elements of railway station projects, ensuring integration with overall project models Support and liaise with the BIM Coordinator, BIM Manager and wider project team in the implementation of deliverables adhering to specified project standards and to facilitate issue resolution Assist in the maintenance of the project's CDE, ensuring accurate and timely information flow and adherence to data management standards Participate in quality assurance checks of BIM models to ensure they meet the project's accuracy, detail, and information requirements Assist in monitoring compliance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and project standards, contributing to regular reports on BIM deliverable status Work closely with other disciplines to ensure BIM models are integrated and coordinated efficiently, attending regular coordination meetings as necessary Provide technical support and guidance to project team members on BIM-related issues, promoting best practices in model creation and management Profile BIM Technician with at least 3 years’ experience in major infrastructure/transportation projects. Experience of working in an engineering production environment A railway, transportation or construction background. Experience of delivering projects to UK BIM Standards including ISO 19650 Proficient in using Bentley software including ProjectWise, MicroStation, AecoSIM/OpenBuilding Designer, Bentley Signal Sighting Software,Bentley OpenRail Demonstrated experience in leading the technical development of BIM components from conceptual design through to detailed construction models Experience in working within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the cohesive development of integrated project deliverables Good knowledge of UK design standards, such as Network Rail, HS2 and TfL Experience working with BEPs, Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDP), Master Information Delivery Plans (MIDP) and Model Production Delivery Tables (MPDT) Ability to adapt to new BIM technologies and workflows, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
