I am supporting a client based in Runcorn looking for an experienced Company Accountant to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This vacancy is full-time on site but offering fantastic benefits such as career progression, good pension contribution, and life insurance benefits.
Responsibilities as an Accountant:
* Manage the 2 Finance Team members’ daily activities.
* Full responsibility of the AP and AR ledger, stock ledger, reconciling supplier statements, and general ledger housekeeping.
* Maintenance of the company’s fixed asset register.
* Approving of employee expense claims.
* Daily bank reconciliation.
* Preparation of monthly Management Accounts with Balance Sheet reconciliations.
* Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures and effective systems of financial control.
* Maintain product costings.
* Cash flow management.
* Payroll administration.
* Manage IT issues with external IT provider as backup.
* Submission of quarterly VAT returns.
Requirements:
* AAT Level 4 qualified with a proven track record of at least 2 years in manufacturing.
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, strong IT skills, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
