We are looking for an Apprentice Manufacturing Technician to join our Workshop team in Sheffield.
This is a unique opportunity for you to gain practical experience, earn a salary, and complete an appropriate electrical apprenticeship, becoming a qualified electrician.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the assembly, testing, and installation of control panels under the guidance of manufacturing technicians.
Salary: Up to 22,500, depending upon skills and experience.
Please note: Candidates must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level than this apprenticeship in a similar subject.

You Will
SUMMARY OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Successfully complete all identified training both in-house, and external in relation to the apprenticeship timescales.
* Work closely with experienced technicians to gain practical experience and guidance.
* Assist in the assembly of control panels according to engineering drawings and specifications.
* Learn to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
* Perform wiring and component installation tasks.
* Support the testing of assembled control panels to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. Document test results and maintain accurate records.
* Help identify and troubleshoot defects or issues during the testing process.
* Assist in the installation of control panels at customer sites.
* Follow all health and safety regulations and protocols within the manufacturing environment.
* Assist with any other duties reasonably requested and in line with the requirements of the post.
Summary Of Requirements
We are looking for:
Essential Skills
* Working towards a recognised electrical apprenticeship or willing to do so.
* A strong aptitude for hands-on technical work.
* Basic IT and numeracy skills.
* A full UK driving licence or indication of working towards one.
* GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.
Desirable Skills
* An interest in electrical concepts and manufacturing processes.
* Basic proficiency with hand and power tools.
