Summary As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. Salary: £4,190.40 per annum (FTE £22,698 per annum) Contract/duration: Fixed Term Contact from 1st April 2025 to 31st December 2025 Hours/working pattern: 360hours throughout the year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year, between April and 31st October- working 3 days/week during school holidays & 2 days/ week outside of school holidays. Extra hours may be available during the Christmas offer at Kingston Lacy until 31st December. Working 5 hours a day. The days of the week and hours worked would be flexible to ensure that all seven days of the week are covered and that times between 7am and 7pm are covered on a rotation basis, but it is anticipated the majority of the hours will be between 10am and 4pm. What it's like to work here Reporting to the Welcome Manager you will be based at Badbury Rings, an Iron Age hillfort and scheduled ancient monument, to deliver engagement about this special site. There may be times when you are required to work at Kingston Lacy. What you'll be doing Day to day, you will be engaging with our visitors about the historical & archaeological significance of the site and sharing your knowledge about the nature and wildlife in the area. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listening to what our visitors need so you can share the right information and ensure they have the best experience they can. You will help with car park compliance by encouraging the use of the car park machine/issuing notices to unpaid vehicles and help grow support for the Trust by selling memberships. You will also help with visitor insight research, reporting back findings to the Welcome Manager and Visitor Experience Team. This role would suit anyone with a passion for delivering great customer service and a love for the outdoors and nature. This role will predominantly involve working outside on your own but with volunteer support when available. Driving licence is essential as you’ll be using a Trust vehicle (long wheelbase van).
