Due to the rapid increase in business throughout Hertfordshire, we are looking to recruit a night security duty controller to add to our team based at our Head Office in Hatfield. You must hold a valid SIA Licence and a full UK driving licence.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Ensuring client sites are covered at all times
2. Providing out of hours support to all staff on sites
3. Conduct key holding and mobile patrol duties
4. Attend to any alarm activations
5. Provide emergency site cover
6. Conduct welfare and site visits on a weekly planned schedule
7. Take hourly check calls from lone worker staff
8. Manage and accurately update the rostering system
9. Ensure all reports are completed as required
10. Report any issues to the Contracts Managers / Operations Director
Core Requirements:
1. Must hold a frontline SIA Licence
2. Must hold a full valid UK driving licence
3. Must be computer literate
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. High degree of accuracy
6. Excellent understanding of situations, organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads
7. Excellent telephone manner
8. The ability to work effectively under pressure
9. The ability to deal tactfully and effectively with a wide range of people
10. A good knowledge and understanding of the SIA Industry
11. Ability to adapt to change
12. Dealing with customer enquiries in writing and by telephone
13. Working on their own as a lone worker
14. Taking responsibility and being pro-active
15. Able to make decisions and work unsupervised
16. Able to deal with escalated client queries, handling unforeseen situations and finding solutions
This position will be following a 4 on 4 off rotation pattern, covering 12 hour shifts. The successful candidate must be able to work using their own initiative as they will primarily be a lone worker. They must also be self-motivated, with the ability to perform effectively when under pressure and a reliable, enthusiastic team member.
A uniform will be provided.
