About the role The Director, Procurement – Strategy, Risk and Compliance leads a team to transform and deliver key supplier engagement and performance programme, as well as owns the Procurement processes and their implementation. This role requires strong team leadership, significant amount of internal engagement, utilizing strong interpersonal skills, influence management and change management. They will design long term strategies, implement and ensure execution of key initiatives against timeline and deliverables, including identifying bottlenecks, resolving issues and driving towards effective and standardized completion. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a team of 6 strong performing individuals Bring innovation and best practices from external benchmark and wide network of experts Own Procurement policies and drive their simplification and implementation within the function Implement our new Third Party Risk management framework and manage its operations Create and implement a framework to manage Third party risk within the organization, in collaboration with various Subject Matter Experts, and in alignment with Haleon’s Enterprise Risk model Develop our Partner for Growth and Supplier Diversity programmes and extend their impact on the organization Support strategic initiatives for the function Team leadership Manage a team of 6 individuals based in Poland, Canada, UK and India Develop their capabilities based on individualized needs Procurement Policies and Compliance Collaborate effectively with stakeholders in policy, risk and compliance groups Understand bottleneck and pain points in the organization and influence internal stakeholders to improve ways of working and efficiencies Review policies on a regular basis based on agreed calendar Ensure all relevant SOPs, training materials, policies/playbooks and sharepoints are up to date Supplier Risk Drive the implementation of new Third Party Risk Management process and tools associated, in collaboration with Tech, Risk Owners and Enterprise Risk teams Roll out change management plan, including communication and training of internal users Ensure tracking of Third party risks as well as the efficiency of the process Manage TPRM Operations and the outsourced service delivery team and coach them to ensure the quality of deliverables Detect/anticipate any emerging relevant risk from its internal/external scanning capabilities, through engagement externally or internal network (e.g., change in laws/regulations, change in enforcement landscape, change in public expectations, entering new areas of business etc) For new identified risks, develop ways to manage them which could be (a) through performance (b) regular review of a risk topic/Key risk indicators or (c) Enterprise risk plan Create a framework to drive visibility of risks at the Third party level, including TPRM, geopolitical risks and de-risking activities Provide high quality input to governance and reporting for the policy, risk and compliance agenda such that there is clear accountability for who is managing the risks, leadership understands and fulfils applicable risk reporting requirements and issues are escalated to an appropriate councils Supplier diversity and performance Drive implementation of Supplier Relationship Management programme (Partner for Growth – P4G) within the function based on targets agreed at leadership level Perform regular reviews of the supply base segmentation and support design of management strategies associated Equip procurement functions and key stakeholders with necessary tools and training Ensure impact of the delivery through training, coaching of Supplier Account Managers and best practice sharing Support the delivery of our Supplier Diversity programme Collaborate efficiently with Haleon DEI team and various ERGs Identify opportunities to expand it to new areas and markets Please take a copy of the Job Description, as this will not be available post closure of the advert. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors - Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Risk Management, related fields or any Bachelors, combined with relevant experience Preferred: Master’s Degree (Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Risk Management, related fields) Good to have: Procurement or related certifications (e.g. CPSM, CPIM, PMP) 2 years’ experience working in relevant experience in third-party risk management, change management or operational risk management is preferred 8 years’ experience working in procurement High level of fluency in spoken and written English High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (e.g. PowerPoint and Excel) Experience of managing and influencing people indirectly; influence senior stakeholders and strategies within and outside of own organizational unit Ability to motivate colleagues and work in partnership with others to drive, implement and support change Strong analytical, written and verbal communications, and influencing skills.
