Reporting to the DSL team, the Parent and Family Support Advisor will be based at Critchill School working directly with children and their parents/carers and external agencies to ensure all pupils have full access to educational opportunities and are able to overcome barriers to learning and participation. You will be able to relate well and develop good rapport with a wide range of people. Able to deal with sensitive issues, you should be empathetic and able to achieve positive outcomes through effective communication and influencing skills. The role will be challenging and rewarding and requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to empower others, work collaboratively with staff and work autonomously. Experience of delivering individual/group based support and understanding children within their family context is essential, as well as work experience within education, social care or the voluntary sector.
