Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join the Estates team at Stepping Hill Hospital. We are seeking a highly motivated, appropriately skilled, reliable and enthusiastic Plumber/Mechanical Engineer that is able to work well under pressure to carry out plumbing/mechanical maintenance within a hospital environment. The successful applicant will have a recognized apprenticeship and hold a City & Guilds Certificate or equivalent NVQ qualifications. The post holder will be required to undertake rostered overtime. Main duties of the job The post is at Stepping Hill Hospital but you may be asked to work at other sites within the Trust. Experience working in an Acute Hospital maintenance environment would be an advantage, as would familiarity with large commercial/industrial estates. You will be part of a multi trade team delivering a quality service to support patient services within the Trust. There will be a requirement to work overtime; both rostered and ad-hoc; at short notice as required to meet the needs of the Trust and its healthcare environment.
