Location: Office-based, Surrey (hybrid working potential after 6 week probation)

Role Overview:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper to join a professional and friendly team in the property sector. This role is key in ensuring accurate financial management, particularly in service charge administration, bank reconciliations, and year-end accounts preparation.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and confident in client interactions, providing a courteous, efficient, and professional service to leasehold and freehold property owners.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer, manage, and recover service charges in a timely and accurate manner.
Reconcile bank accounts and process payments.
Follow structured processes for arrears collection.
Interpret and act on client instructions, calculating statement of accounts.
Use Block Management Software (training provided on Blocks Online).
Handle telephone and email correspondence professionally.
Ensure compliance with processes and guidelines to support business growth.
Manage daily tasks and commitments efficiently.
Assist external accountants with the preparation of year-end accounts for leaseholders.
Experience & Personality Requirements:
✅ Experience in bank reconciliations (knowledge of service charges is an advantage but not essential).
✅ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
✅ Ability to work independently while also collaborating with Directors.
✅ A team player who considers the impact of their work on colleagues.
✅ Proactive and adaptable with a flexible approach to work.
✅ A good sense of humour and a positive, business-focused mindset.
