As a Carpenter, you’ll be responsible for constructing and installing high-quality woodwork, from frameworks and flooring to cabinets and trim. All the responsibilities we’ll trust you with You’ll build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors and other wood fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter’s hand tools and power You’ll install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, or hardware, using carpenter's hand and power tools. You’ll finish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard in houses and buildings hand tools and panelling You’ll study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required You’ll take responsibility of yourself and others in the workplace, with the interests of Health & Safety You’ll have general knowledge of building materials and related disciplines Where you’ll be based You'll join our Central Region, where we undertake projects between £500k and £5m in value. Our focus is on high-end projects like swimming pools, spas, luxury bathroom and kitchen renovations, as well as refurbishments and new build private residences, which require attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality to the highest standard. When you're not on site, you'll be based at our office in Basing View, The Square. A spacious, light and contemporary space, just a 5-minute walk from Basingstoke town centre and the train station.
