Tesco Property Maintenance are looking for hardworking and efficient Maintenance Technicians to join our growing Property Maintenance Team! At Tesco, our stores and offices couldn't function without the support of our integral teams.
You will be responsible for
Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence whilst holding accountability for these key responsibilities:
* Building effective relationships and communicating clearly with stakeholders.
* Being a key part of the automation engineering team within Tesco for the UK and contributing to setting strategy and direction long term.
* Auditing our sites on a frequent basis to ensure that maximum equipment effectiveness and safety are upheld.
* Acting as a technical expert for the business, working cross-functionally with teams such as engineering and safety to drive best-in-class solutions.
* Supporting the early stages of automation projects, assisting design teams, commissioning with a high level of detail, and supporting the operational handover.
* Monitoring performance of sites using internal dashboards and reacting to changes and poor trends autonomously, liaising directly with OEM support to efficiently remedy problems.
* Liaising closely with peers, identifying and using data to guide the long-term capital investment program, advising on best practice and correct application wherever required.
* Being a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on failure principles and workshopping, tailoring approaches to differing problems on a case-by-case basis.
* Setting and maintaining the highest engineering standards across our estate as a member of the core central Automation team.
* Proactively developing personal engineering skills as well as those of peers, ensuring we are fit to manage and maintain to the highest level.
* Working with vendors and contractors to ensure all engineering and maintenance requirements are covered, building efficiency, reducing bottlenecks, and increasing reliability at every stage of the process, to budget and timescale while advising on critical spares requirements.
* Managing budgets effectively and to target, always being cost conscious.
You will need
* Experience working with large automation projects, particularly in the development and SAT phases.
* Experience of scraping, formatting, and utilising technical information to create dashboards that provide actionable data.
* Experience in contractor management and handling critical issues.
* Technical experience of automated equipment with the ability to support diagnosis of breakdowns and ongoing trends.
