This full-time, permanent position commences in September and presents a unique opportunity to champion the educational needs of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The Position As the SENDCo, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the school's SEND provision, ensuring that all students receive the support they need to achieve their full potential. You will lead and manage the school's SEND team, working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to create a truly inclusive and supportive learning community. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and evaluate the school's SEND policy and provision. Lead and manage the SEND team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective delivery of SEND support. Oversee the identification, assessment, and provision of support for students with SEND. Liaise with parents, external agencies, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to SEND support. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and interventions. Contribute to the school's wider inclusion agenda, promoting a culture of understanding and acceptance for all students. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification. National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to work towards this qualification. Proven experience in a SEND leadership role or extensive experience supporting students with SEND. A deep understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
