About the Opportunity We are recruiting for a Site Manager to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team supporting our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Generation with their nuclear fleet in the UK. This is a key role within our Stations Services team based at Torness Power Station. In this role you will manage our site establishment (offices, workshops, etc.) and associated site team in an effective and efficient manner to meet client requirements, such that work is executed to an adequate technical and quality standard, cost effectively and safely in compliance with client and our safety management systems, and client relationships are developed to maintain and grow the business profitably. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain close working relationships with key client staff to ensure local client requirements are understood and achieved - Manage relationships with client personnel at site, identify opportunities and develop these to maintain and grow the site workload to support overall business plan targets for site team work - Ensure site establishment and site work satisfies statutory Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and work is carried out in accordance with the Project Execution Plan and QHSE Plan and applicable client requirements - Provide accurate proposals incl. estimates for site work and deliver site work within associated project budgets - Plan daily work allocation, site team resource levels (including local agency recruitment) and working patterns (e.g. overtime) to match project requirements in the most cost effective manner, to meet project budgets and utilisation targets - Manage procurement of local site purchases within project budgets - Identify potential claim situations on site project work and notify Project Manager in timely manner for pursuit with the client. - Is respected by staff in the team and facilitates an enjoyable working environment and promotes a strong team spirit - Ensure staff are appropriately briefed on local, business and corporate issues - Identify and facilitate training and development needs of site team members - Proven experience as Site Manager within a regulated environment - Commitment to all health and safety guidelines - Safety critical understanding or having worked within a structured organisation - Demonstrates high engineering and health and safety standards - NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification within one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, C&I, Civil, Construction & Commissioning - Excellent knowledge of plant, machinery, systems, and components - Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read Work Order Cards, RAMS, instructions, blueprints, schematic diagrams, general arrangements, building layout / containment drawings, knowledge of assigned (example HVAC) systems, similar systems, or equivalent systems - A problem-solving ability - Seek commitment from key stakeholders - Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic awareness of CAD Our Culture Our values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
