30×30 is a global target pioneered by the UK to protect 30% of land and sea by 2030. Created in 2022, it is supported by the UK and around 200 other countries in a historic agreement made at the 2022 UN Biodiversity summit.
We are now looking for a Nature Recovery 30×30 Manager to join the Landscapes Wales team on a full-time, fixed-term contract until March 2028.

The Role
As a Nature Recovery 30×30 Manager, you will drive transformational change, supporting Designated Landscapes in Wales to ensure nature is protected in line with the 30×30 initiative.
Specifically, you will work with three National Parks and five National Landscapes to address shared challenges and take action on climate change and nature emergencies.
Working as part of the Designated Landscapes of Wales team and partner organisations, you will establish a shared approach to evidence and delivery model whilst developing the role of Designated Landscapes.
Leveraging your expertise in nature recovery, sustainable land use, and climate resilience, you will help shape how these landscapes are managed for the future.
Additionally, you will:
* Promote positive socio-economic impacts
* Advocate for supportive nature recovery policy within a landscape context
* Provide a strategic steer to the development of a coherent, evidence-based approach
* Offer expertise in securing funding, green finance, and aligning nature recovery
* Develop, measure and report on progress to the Tirweddau Cymru board
About You
To be considered as a Nature Recovery 30×30 Manager, you will need:
* Significant experience of delivery of successful projects and programmes in a public facing role in a similar field
* Experience of working with the public, public and third sector bodies, elected members and other public representatives
* Experience of managing a team of staff
* Knowledge and understanding of ecosystems, land management and nature recovery
* A degree level qualification in an environment, ecology or land management related subject, or a qualification in a land-based subject or significant experience
* Full driving licence
