The multiskilled engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production lines, maintaining them at peak performance. This role involves upholding best practices in the maintenance of factory plant and equipment. Working Hours - Monday - Thursday 1800-0200 Friday 1800-0000 Salary: £39,000 - £43,000 per year, paid monthly. Perform electrical and engineering maintenance with a focus on safe plant operations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times. Record all breakdowns and service work accurately, maintaining detailed information for each machine and service sheet. Work collaboratively within the team, contributing to problem-solving and maintaining a proactive approach. Conduct planned maintenance as directed by the Engineering Manager and Shift Leader. Support the continuous improvement of departmental operations and functions. Adhere to food hygiene standards. Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms. Book out parts from engineering stores according to procedures. Understand engineering and operational KPIs and suggest improvements to Shift Leaders. Follow company policies and best practices consistently. Maintain housekeeping standards under the clean-as-you-go policy for your area and across the site. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by your Line Manager. Experience of electrical / mechanical engineering. Understanding of FMCG industry. Understanding of retailer products and quality standards preferable. Experience of successfully managing tasks/projects to completion. Computer Literate. Reliable, conscientious, self-motivated and professional. Effective planning and organisation skills. Effective communication - written, verbal and non-verbal Effective problem solving skills and ability to influence solutions.
