As the M&E Estimating Manager, you will lead a dynamic team of estimators, overseeing the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical and electrical projects. Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the estimating team, ensuring high-quality and timely preparation of M&E project estimates.
2. Review project specifications, plans, and requirements to determine project scope and costs.
3. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop comprehensive and competitive bids.
4. Identify risks and opportunities within the estimation process, proposing effective mitigation strategies.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, industry standards, and pricing structures.
6. Present estimates to senior management and contribute to bid reviews and client negotiations.
7. Drive process improvements to enhance estimating efficiency and accuracy.
8. Support the transition from estimation to project execution, ensuring smooth handovers.
Skills & Experience Required
1. Proven experience as an Estimating Manager or Senior Estimator in the M&E, construction, or engineering industries.
2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, industry standards, and installation processes.
4. Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
5. Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse teams and clients.
7. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
8. Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field are advantageous.
