We are looking for a Site Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join GLT and become an integral member of the Bracknell Hub Site team, primarily based at Crown Wood Primary School & Wildmoor Heath School – part of the Bracknell Hub.
The Bracknell Hub currently incorporates Brakenhale School, Crown Wood Primary School, Wildmoor Heath Primary School and Sandy Lane Primary School. The Site Assistant supports the schools and their staff in a range of duties to support the smooth operation of the schools. They may be based at 1 or more schools on a regular basis but will be required to support at other schools within the Hub when necessary.

Our schools are based in London, Surrey, Berkshire, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Bristol and Plymouth. Main responsibilities:
* Proactively identify, report, and rectify building defects, ensuring a high standard of repair is maintained.
* Support the security of the premises as required, including opening and locking up for events and emergency call outs.
* Undertake re-decoration and maintenance work, as agreed with the Site or Regional Estates Manager, to ensure a high standard of repair and decoration throughout the school.
* Maintain a safe and clean external environment e.g. gritting, litter picks, waste collection and removal, graffiti removal, and keeping drains free from obstruction.
* Carry out health and safety checks including fire, emergency lighting, and Legionella, keeping accurate records under the direction of the Site Manager or Regional Estates Manager.
* Supervise and contact contractors when necessary.
* Assist with cleaning duties as required or monitor cleaning contractors.
* Undertake general portage duties, including setting out and putting away furniture as necessary.
* Be flexible to cover the opening, closing, heating, and availability of equipment for school events and lettings.
You will need:
* Full UK valid driving licence and a suitable vehicle for travelling between multiple sites within the hub.
* Knowledge of moving and handling procedures.
* Willingness to participate in development and training opportunities.
* Ability to make decisions, identify and solve problems through thorough analysis and sound judgement.
* Good organisational and project management skills, with the ability to balance competing pressures and deadlines.
* Ability to work well as part of a team.
