The Opportunity: Our client is looking for a Project Engineer who thrives in a hands-on, technical role and is excited to be at the forefront of transforming innovative designs into cutting-edge operational systems. The most important aspects of this role are stakeholder management, pro-active problem solving and the confidence to work hands-on. Accountabilities: Project Management and Planning: Develop and manage detailed technical project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies. Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with clients, project engineers, contractors, and third-party vendors; translate client needs into actionable timelines. Technical Problem Solving: Tackle technical challenges with innovative solutions across areas such as mechanical design, coating processes, measurement and data collection, and electrochemical trials. Managing Development Partners: Scope, engage, and oversee external development partners to deliver work programs critical to advancing system development. Equipment Testing and Improvement: Test, diagnose, and repair faults on-site; create and implement test procedures; improve operational procedures. System Commissioning: Develop and execute commissioning plans, conduct system tests, and verify performance while adhering to safety and quality standards. Safety and Compliance: Ensure safe working conditions, maintain health and safety standards, and meet all legal requirements throughout projects. Performance Analysis and Quality Control: Gather and analyze performance data, implement quality assurance procedures, and review designs for accuracy and compliance. Supervision and Training: Supervise and support engineering and technical staff on-site, coordinate daily activities, and train maintenance and operations personnel. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical documentation, project reports, and manuals; ensure systems are documented and ready for handover. About you Essential Technical Expertise: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and translate product designs into actionable process plans. Strong understanding of safety regulations and principles of project management. Project and Time Management: Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary projects and tracking budgets, including subcontractor hours. Excellent time management, organizational, and decision-making skills. Client and Deliverable Focus: Excellent understanding of customer expectations and deliverables, with a commitment to producing high-quality outcomes. Software and IT Skills: Advanced MS Office skills and proficient in design and visualization software (e.g., Solidworks, Matlab, etc) Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or a relevant field). Systems Knowledge: Experience in system commissioning, electrical, plumbing, or related engineering fields, including HVAC. Desirable Certifications and Licensing; Relevant certifications such as Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), LEED accreditation, or a current engineering license
