Role
The Finance Clerk is responsible for accurately recording and processing sales and purchase ledger transactions on a timely basis.
Responsibilities
* Maintenance of the accounts receivable ledger.
* Timely processing of supplier invoices and completion of supplier statement reconciliations. Chase business stakeholders for purchase order raising and receipting.
* Manage supplier queries via the accounts payable inbox and other means of supplier communication. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders where necessary.
* Management of and timely processing of customer receipts, credit note matching, customer deductions, and sundry invoices.
* Processing new customer and supplier details and accurate details changes on a timely basis, with appropriate verification.
* Keeping up to date with the latest fraud information and ensuring that ledger and payment controls are appropriate in light of the latest information.
* Provide cover for the weekly payment run and payment run postings.
* Take part in system testing and process changes where applicable.
* Input into weekly KPIs for Accounts Payable.
* Assistance with other ad hoc tasks as necessary.
