This role will work in partnership with Senior Business Leaders, influencing the development and implementation of business strategy and translating it into a financial plan that improves long term business performance. The role will provide leadership on the financial aspects of business plans and provide solutions to senior management on financial and business issues.

What you will be doing:
In this role you provide financial support to the business leadership on financial decision making and achievement of business objectives. You will also:
1. Partner with the business leadership team to:
* Drive strong financial performance through the understanding of the key financial levers, using business acumen to generate value.
* Focus on understanding the drivers of cost within the business, as well as identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
* Ensure the timely delivery of business financial presentations, financial models and scenarios, ensuring they are integrated and support long term strategic objectives.
* Work collaboratively with business leaders to ensure they understand associated issues and risks.
1. Provide support as required to other business areas to help drive recommendations on commercial issues including disputes, claims, partnering arrangements, etc.
2. Ensure commercial negotiations and business governance is in compliance with corporate policies and reflects sound business practice.
3. Assist the Business Leadership in delivering improved operational performance and conducting adhoc/special investigations and projects as directed.
4. Share best practice and standardisation of approach within Finance fostering a Lean and Continuous Improvement mindset.
Who we are looking for:
* Influencing skills - must be able to influence business and finance stakeholders, communicating complex financial plans in a simple and concise manner.
* Capable of working and delivering on challenging reporting deadlines.
* Advanced analysis and data presentation skills, with the ability to create complex financial models using MS Excel.
* Professionally qualified accountant, experienced at operating at a management level.
* Sound knowledge of the Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace business model.
* Proactive, accountable, hands-on, and able to work on own initiative.
* Analytical, systematic in your approach to finance, with an ability to find compliant and elegant solutions to issues that arise.
