Care Assistant ( Night Shift )
Lambton House is a 57 bedroom family run care home for people with residential and dementia care needs. The home has been established over 30 years.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, good humoured, well mannered and committed Care Assistant to join the team at Lambton.
Whether we're providing long or short-term, convalescence, respite or palliative care, our focus is on providing the highest quality service at all times.
Delivering a level of care that truly comes from the heart. It’s about making sure our residents never lose their dignity or sense of individuality as you get involved in general activities within the care home.
If you’re helping someone with limited mobility to learn to use an aid, offering emotional support to a confused or distressed resident or delivering care to someone at the end of their life, you’ll always have their well-being in mind above anything else.
We wish to speak to you if you're a compassionate, can-do person with experience supporting older people. You should be good at using your initiative and working well under pressure.
It’s a role where we need you to happily go the extra mile to make a difference to the lives of older, frail people.
Your Role
Residents are at the heart of everything we do. As part of a friendly team, you’ll assist them with their physical and emotional needs. More than just a carer, you’ll be a true friend who champions their dignity and respects their independence.
From day one, you’ll be involved in developing individual care plans and supporting new colleagues. To succeed, you’ll need to be able to think on your feet, prioritise your own workload and keep accurate records.
You will be delivering quality personal care to each of our residents. Your daily tasks will include supporting and assisting them with washing, dressing, eating and maintaining their hygiene, as well as ensuring they feel part of life in the home. This will see you providing care, warmth and kindness to help make a difference. You also will develop relationships with our residents' relatives which will support you in understanding their needs more and developing that personal care.
In return, you get excellent support, quality training and fast-track career opportunities.
