About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Walsall. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a positive difference in their educational journey.
Starting in January 2025, the successful candidate will support pupils with a range of needs, fostering a nurturing environment where they can achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Providing one-to-one and group support for pupils with SEN.
Assisting in the implementation of individualized learning plans (IEPs).
Collaborating with teachers and the SENCO to adapt classroom resources and activities.
Promoting inclusion and helping pupils to engage with the curriculum.
Building positive relationships with pupils to boost their confidence and independence.
Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the teaching team.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Have experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting.
Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with a passion for helping children thrive.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Have a proactive approach to managing challenging behaviors in a positive and constructive manner.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
