Job Summary
Specialist secondary school based in Horley for students with MLD, looking for a Psychology Graduate.
Classes range from 6-8 in size with a focus on implementing effective communication techniques.
Therapy rooms and designated areas for specialist support from a range of therapists including SALTs, Occupational therapists, psychologists, and counsellors.
An Integrated Trauma Informed Approach and extensive 1-1 support for every pupil.
Specialist communication methods such as Makaton and PECS.
Focus on preparation for GCSE subjects and building a curriculum that works for their individual needs.
The school likes to focus on LSAs who know their objectives and who would like to continue their journey to become a speech and language therapist.
Qualifications
A psychology degree or specialist SEN training is highly desirable.
High levels of training and commitment to your professional development are provided for those that have little experience.
