Specialist Behavioural Support Worker
We’re looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Specialist Behavioural Support Worker to join our Stratford Road service in Newham.

Professional Skills:
1. Compassionate and able to help manage support needs
2. Assertive and able to help manage emotions
3. Experience working with people with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health
4. Understands the Positive Behaviour Support framework
5. Can be creative around activities, both in the house and in the local community
6. Calm and patient
7. Good reporting skills, IT skills and keen on using digital systems and new technologies
What you’ll do:
1. Observe and monitor customer behaviours, planning appropriate interventions
2. Exhibit superb interpersonal and relationship skills
3. Collaborate with different support organizations in the community
4. Implement behaviour support plans and measure goals
5. Assist customers in identifying inappropriate behaviours and develop better alternatives
Other Responsibilities:
1. Deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer to develop independent living skills
2. Participate in support planning and risk management
3. Monitor the CCTV throughout the shift
4. Enable customers to make full use of community facilities

1. NVQ Level or equivalent
2. Minimum years of experience working with customers with Autism/Behaviour that challenges
3. Good IT skills
4. Drivers License
