Job Opportunity: QC Associate Scientist. Entry Level Role. Location: Basingstoke Contract Type: Temp with the possibility of permanent. Working Pattern: Full Time ⏰ Temp role. Monday to Friday with an early finish on Fridays. Training will be given. About the Role: As part of our client's QC team, you will play a crucial role in helping find cures for cancer, protecting the environment, and ensuring the safety of our food. Responsibilities: Perform Quality Control Testing following the specified test specifications and methods Ideally Microbiological testing methods and Media Preparation Complete out of specification reports and assist with investigations Maintain training records Plan, track, and control the progress of products under test Alert the QC Team Leader of any potential problems/failures Record test results within the SAP Quality Management module Conduct equipment checks and audits Ensure cleanliness, waste management, and consumable replenishing Efficiently operate autoclaves Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: Foster effective working relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure collaborative success Work closely with QC Manager, QC Team Leader, QC Lead Scientist, QA, Manufacturing Sciences, Production, Customer Services, and Planning departments Prioritise finished product and raw material testing under the guidance of senior team members Engage in continuous improvement using PPI lean methodology Utilise PPI processes to solve problems and enhance departmental and business processes Exemplify the organisation's values in decision-making and day-to-day operations Qualifications and Skills: Qualification in a relevant scientific discipline Ideally experience in Quality Control Testing, particularly in microbiological methods Proficient in using SAP or similar Quality Management systems Ideally have knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practises (GMP) and Quality Systems Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies Benefits: - Competitive hourly rate: £12.64 Temporary to permanent opportunity Monday to Thursday working hours 8.00am - 4.00pm/9.00am - 5.00pm- Early finish on Fridays at 2:30 pm Parking available Together, we can create a better future Adecco is a disability-confident employer.
