About the Role
Are you looking to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare construction industry? We are seeking a talented Estimating Manager to oversee and coordinate the estimating team, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality proposals for healthcare-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
As an Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Developing and improving tools used by the estimating team to enhance accuracy and efficiency in proposal creation.
* Managing team resources and overseeing the scheduling of estimating activities.
* Conducting weekly reviews of the sales pipeline to plan, schedule, and prioritise team workload.
* Establishing reporting processes to track project progress, accessible to both sales and operational teams.
* Conducting site visits and surveys to support sales and project delivery teams as required.
* Overseeing bid opportunities, including the completion of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) within set deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A strong understanding of construction, particularly within healthcare projects (desirable).
* Experience in managing teams and allocating resources effectively.
* A relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
* Commercial awareness and the ability to manage project budgets.
* Strong IT skills to support estimating and reporting processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
You should apply if you have:
* Experience compiling and submitting tender responses for public and private sector clients.
* The ability to engage with supply chain partners to obtain pricing and quality information for bids.
* Strong reporting skills, providing regular updates to sales and operations teams on project progress.
* The ability to review incoming Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and tender enquiries from various sources.
* Experience in budget generation and cost control for projects.
* Strong organisational skills to prioritise, schedule, and allocate resources effectively.
* A proactive approach to refining and improving estimating processes.
* Experience in managing bid reviews and project review schedules.
