Job Title: Signalling Designated Project Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Signalling Designated Project Engineer to work on high-profile railway projects in North America.
This role requires relocation to Toronto.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the review and comment on design deliverables for signal and communication systems.
* Ensure life cycle assurance for rail corridors, including conceptual design development and design reviews.
* Organize meetings with team members and management to communicate project requirements.
* Review evidence from Design, Construction, and Testing teams for verification and validation purposes.
* Ensure functional coordination across a matrix organization.
* Implement safety, EHS, and compliance requirements in signal and communication systems.
* Define Electrification strategy in line with contract requirements.
* Coordinate signal and communication activities and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, electronics, or transportation management) or a related field.
* 10+ years of experience in Transit and Railway construction management for Signal and communication system design.
* Professional Engineer registration in PEO, Ontario.
Technical Competencies:
* Advanced knowledge of signalling systems, including conventional and advanced train control systems (ETCS).
* Understanding of Canadian Rail Operating Rules (CROR) and Signal Design Manual.
* Experience with System Design lifecycle, requirement management, System and safety assurance (RAMS) in accordance with EN50126.
* Knowledge of Canadian Method for Risk Evaluation and Assessment (CMREA).
Salary:
$120,000 - $150,000 per year
