Role: Senior Estimator Location: Swanley, Kent Salary: £82,000 - £90,000 plus car allowance/company car, private healthcare, 25 days holiday THE COMPANY With regional offices across Kent, Sussex and Surrey they are a forward-thinking construction company carrying out projects throughout the South East and London. Typical projects include Commercial, Healthcare and Education ranging from £5m to £30m. THE JOB With a reputation for quality and professionalism my client are looking for a senior estimator to produce priced tenders that are accurate, clearly detailed, competitive and returned within deadlines. Your duties will include: Maintaining good relationships with prospective clients and professionals to promote further tender invitations Provide a detailed “take-off” and Bill of Quantities (BQ) Arrange site inspections Provide accurate budgets/cost plans Work on traditional Plan and Specification, Design and Build of Partnered Contracts Check and amend rate/price build-ups where necessary Prepare tender build-ups for internal adjudication and carry out adjustments where necessary Obtain competitive prices for materials and sub-contract packages Oversee or complete quote analysis comparisons Preparation and collation of relevant information/ documentation for handover meeting Discuss the clients requirements for a pre-tender meeting with relevant departments, present and answer all questions regarding cost of works Participate in post-tender meetings with clients WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR An experienced Main Contractor Senior Estimator Experience using various Estimating software packages and Word/Excel for record keeping and report writing Experience in estimating projects ranging in value from £5m-£20m across Housing, Education, Healthcare and Commercial sectors Knowledge of building, material components, building regulations, estimating (including taking-off) and H&S. Knowledge of contractual procedures and responsibilities. Good negotiation and communication skills Highly numerate with well-developed ability to accurately manipulate numerical information Evidence of maintaining a professional, consistent and fair approach WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO A basic salary of circa £82,000-£90,000 negotiable dependant on experience A company car or car allowance 26 days holiday plus bank holidays A workplace pension scheme bonus Discretionary company bonus Private healthcare Travel expenses.
