Associate/ Associate Director- Sustainability

As part of the wider Climate and Sustainability Services (CSS) business, the Sustainability Consulting team are at the forefront of delivering climate, carbon and ESG advisory support to private and public sector clients. We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team and focus on client and market development, work winning and the delivery of high-value consultancy services. An important part of the role will be to work in collaboration with the network of experts across Arup’s offices throughout the UK and beyond and provide a platform for greater engagement across the leadership teams of Arup's market portfolios.
The Opportunity
The position is for an Associate/Associate Director in Sustainability to be based in Scotland, who can help us leverage on the opportunities in the region through the building of direct client relationships and through the collaboration with the wider business, using our already established presence. We would like the role to:
1. Win work, and grow our business in front end sustainability advisory services;
2. Help elevate our profile both within the business and externally;
3. Meet clients and collaborators, help with business development and work-winning strategies, manage and produce bids, client submissions and presentations.
4. Collaborate with Arup's market portfolios, particularly across Scotland and the North, to bring sustainability matters to already established clients;
5. Manage projects, oversee delivery of good quality work, managing client relationships on projects, ensuring projects are delivered within the parameters of the Arup Management System;
6. Help influence our clients and stakeholders to ensure that we build a prosperous, low carbon, more equitable future, in line with the Arup values and the UN sustainable development goals.

Is this role right for you?
You will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual with existing environmental/sustainability consultancy experience, as well as the following skills and attributes:
* Established consultancy experience in climate, carbon and ESG related projects
* Experience in developing clients and securing work and building business development strategies
* Track record in working strategically across disciplines to develop specific clients and/or market sectors
* A team-player comfortable with people management, development, and contributing to wider organisational goals.
