Job Description:
My client, a leading retail construction company, wants a Pre-Construction Project Manager to join their team. This role will ensure projects are fully prepared before reaching the construction phase, working closely with the commercial team and project managers.
The company delivers a mix of rollouts, full refurbishments, and new build stores, so a strong construction background is essential to ensure seamless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pre-Construction Planning: Oversee all pre-construction activities to ensure projects are site-ready.
2. Collaboration: Work alongside the commercial team, project managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth project mobilisation.
3. Programme Management: Ensure all planning, procurement, and contractual elements are in place before projects start on-site.
4. Risk & Compliance: Identify and mitigate any pre-construction risks, ensuring all projects adhere to industry regulations and company standards.
5. Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to align project expectations.
6. Site Preparation: Conduct site visits and assist with the coordination of logistics, approvals, and site-specific requirements.
Requirements:
1. Strong construction experience with a background in managing pre-construction processes.
2. Degree educated in a relevant construction-related discipline.
3. Experience working within retail construction is highly desirable.
4. Ability to manage multiple projects across the North of England (Yorkshire, North East, North West).
5. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
6. Strong knowledge of construction regulations, procurement, and programming.
