As a Panel Wirer, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panels according to engineering drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities:
Panel Assembly: Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to assemble electrical control panels.
Component Installation: Mount and secure electrical components such as circuit breakers, relays, switches, terminals, and connectors within control panels.
Wiring and Termination: Skilfully wire control panels, following prescribed wiring diagrams and routing guidelines. Perform terminations and connections with accuracy and attention to detail.
Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct functional testing of completed panels to ensure proper operation. Troubleshoot and resolve any wiring or assembly issues as they arise.
Quality Assurance: Adhere to quality standards and procedures throughout the assembly process to maintain product integrity and reliability.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of panel assembly activities, including component lists, wiring diagrams, test results, and any modifications made during the assembly process.
Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Identify and address potential safety hazards related to electrical assembly work.
Collaboration: Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to meet project deadlines and quality objectives. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and project coordination.
Skills:
1. Proven experience as a panel wirer or similar role in electrical manufacturing.
2. Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
3. Strong understanding of electrical components, wiring techniques, and terminations.
4. Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
5. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
7. Basic understanding of electrical safety standards and practices.
