Spray Painting Technical Lead required for a manufacturer based in Worthing. Spray Painting Technical Lead Job Overview To resolve quality problems relating to surface finishing. To work with paint finishing suppliers, contractors and internal and external engineers when needed. To optimise new & existing paint application processes & equipment in order to increase productivity & quality whilst also reducing costs. To work with health & safety, training requirements and improving first-time pass rates. To manage the finishing activities associated with new product introductions and any special finishes required by the business. To bmanage all the equipment which is used during the paint application process. This responsibility includes all servicing, planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring legal compliance and regular monitoring. To carry out quality checks of pre and post painted components and providing feedback. Analysing surface coating related data to identify any trends and to drive continues improvement. Updating and creating documentation which supports paint application processes. Complying with all health & safety legislation and safe working practices. Providing advice and guidance on painting processes to anyone within the business. Spray Painting Technical Lead Job Requirements A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a simialr position. Experienced with water based & 2K spray finishes. Experienced with sanding & polishing processes. Experienced working with suppliers on paint related problems. Conversant with the latest legislation around LAPPC, HAV, COSHH, DESEAR etc. Experience in training others in the application of surface finishes Desirable Experience / Qualifications: Previous experience of manufacturing environments. Wood surface coating experience. Experience of LAPPC Part B Permitting regulations. ATA or Level 3 NVQ equivalent. Math's & English GCSE level 'C' or equivalent. IS09001:2015 experience.
