In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products dispensed to patients. As the Responsible Pharmacist, you will oversee the daily pharmacy operations, ensuring legal compliance, and maintaining high professional standards. You will be required to provide expert advice, dispense medications, and deliver an excellent healthcare service to our customers. As a Pharmacist your responsibilities will include, although not limited to: Consult with patients and healthcare professionals regarding medical products and prescription information. Undertake duties as the Responsible Pharmacist. Maintain records relating to receipt, storage and dispensing of medication within the pharmacy. Maintain CPD relevant to the specialties of the pharmacy. Identify process improvements within the pharmacy. Mentor peers, serving as a subject matter expert on pharmacy regulations, processes and issues. Contribute to the Quality Assurance team for activities involving the control and supply of medications for specific clinical needs. To ensure an up-to-date knowledge of GMP guidelines, MHRA Manufacturers Specials Guidance and the MHRA Guidance Note 14 related to supplying of ‘Specials’. To observe and comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP). Identify opportunities and propose measures for continuous improvement. Have awareness of the responsibilities and duties of the Responsible Person in relation to your job role. Other Ad hoc duties as required. To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate: A UK pharmacist registered with the GPhC. Pro-active and solutions driven, with the ability to work to strict deadlines with a high level of accuracy. Excellent communication skills: verbal and written. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business. Fully IT literate: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Exact Online (desirable). Highly self-motivated with strong inter-personal skills. Effective planning, organisational and administrative skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams on new process projects, incident investigation, identification of root causes and process improvements.
