We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated Team Leader. You will be committed and have the values, passion, and determination to put people first, whilst supporting the lives of people with a learning disability or mental health illness.

As Team Leader, you will be supporting our service users whilst working closely with your team of Support Workers to ensure they are providing the necessary support to our residents as part of their rehabilitation. Previous experience of working with vulnerable adults with learning disabilities or a mental health illness will be beneficial for this position.
As part of this role you will work closely with a variety of colleagues and support staff to prioritise outcome-focused support to our customers.

Hours of work
The role is for a full-time position working 38.5 hours per week. This role requires a level of flexibility as you’ll be working on a day shift pattern rational 7 days per week, including weekends.

Your Responsibilities
* To work alongside the Service Manager and the team members in the day-to-day running of the service.
* Ensure duties are allocated to team members effectively and safely whilst on duty.
* Support service users with day-to-day activities enabling them to live a full and as independent life as possible.
* Ensure that our service users are at the heart of everything we do.
* Support service users whilst taking prescribed medication.
* Supervise support workers in the delivery and support to our service users.
* Be flexible to provide support out of hours should the service require this.
* Work positively and collaboratively with other colleagues within the team.
* Support your own staff team to maintain effective professional relationships with service users, their families, colleagues, and other key stakeholders.
* Work within and implement our policy and procedure, including confidentiality and safeguarding.
* Escalate as appropriate any concerns or issues in a timely manner.
* Ensure service user records are maintained and kept up to date whilst reporting in a factual and ‘person-centred’ approach.
* Ideally, you will have gained previous experience and have a good understanding of mental health rehabilitation or have gained your level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
