FTL was formed as a Joint Venture Partnership in 2021, created and owned by Hoyer and DHL, and founded and built on the expertise of their colleagues within the business and our solid customer relationships. It is now a subsidiary of Oxalis Logistics UK Ltd (formerly Hoyer) and fully owned by the Oxalis group. Working as part of our FTL team means that you will be supporting and providing two leading UK Supermarkets with the planning and delivery of fuel to over 300 petrol forecourts as part of a 24/7 operation. Summary of the role: This role has direct responsibility for ensuring that all customers are supplied with fuel in the most safe and cost effective manner, whilst providing excellent customer service and ensuring all legislation, compliance and local agreements procedures are fully achieved. Our ideal candidate will have strong transport planning skills and be able to carry out operational and administrative work. The key skill areas are efficient planning, accurate data entry, record-keeping and reporting. For this you will need good computer skills and the ability to navigate around numerous screens. You will also need the ability to deal with a variety of work challenges in a busy, fast moving department, often working unsupervised. As a first point of contact for our driver technicians you must be confident and assertive with good interpersonal skills and be able to work under pressure, prioritise work and react to issues as they happen. Hours of work: Working a rotating shift pattern of approximately 42 hours per week working 4 on / 4 off days and nights. Requirements: Essential: The successful individual will - Have the ability to work a shift pattern that covers mornings, evenings, nights and weekends. Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and organisational skills. Be proficient in IT, particularly Microsoft Office - Outlook and Excel. Have achieved a GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or above in Maths and English, and educated to A-Level (or equivalent) standard. Have the ability to interpret data accordingly and to prioritise tasks in line with business needs. Be flexible in their working hours, and have the ability to cover shifts on a 24/7 operation. Be a team player who is able to work to individual and shared deadlines. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build effective working relationships. Desirable: The successful individual will: Have working knowledge of UK geography. Have working knowledge of WinDMS or equivalent Have access to your own transport. Have experience of working in the transport industry and transport planning. Have an understanding of Drivers Hours Regulations.
