Reporting to the Onsite Content Manager, the role of the Visual Merchandiser is to work to the business strategy and business imperatives to produce creative, compelling, seasonally relevant, and in-stock outfits and content to inspire and excite the customer with the objective of maximising sales. Acting as a conduit between trading, buying and creative teams, VM will support all channel activities ensuring product presentation is merchandised effectively to inspire the customer. You will work with trading and online marketing, monitoring the performance of the campaign on various media channels. Key Responsibilities Work collaboratively to deliver cohesive, integrated brand relevant stories, trends and outfits across all customer touch points. Continual focus on process improvements to maximise team efficiency and speed to market. Strategic thinking and planning to ensure we have the ability to maximise content on existing shoots/campaigns and build in social and wider content requirements. Ability to interpret and deliver against briefs with challenging timelines. Supporting marketing campaigns across all touchpoints (TV/digital/Media). Producing seasonally relevant product stories that inspire the customer and are credible with our online competitors and the high street. A knowledge and understanding of the social environment with the ability to adapt and respond to an ever-changing channel that will continue to evolve and to ensure the most relevant and inspiring product is showcased. An extensive knowledge of internal and external brands, understanding brand adjacencies, new launches and how to present to our customer without compromising the brand DNA. About you. Potential candidates should ensure they understand the difference between online visual merchandising and shop floor visual merchandising. As we are an online retailer, we are not ‘hands on’ and very rarely handle physical products - most of our role is done digitally. Key skills we are looking for: A Fashion based background either in design, styling or Online Visual Merchandising. Demonstrable visual design skills with a strong retail VM portfolio. Knowledge of current visual merchandising trends and best practices. Maintaining and working to a budget. A clear understanding of retail trends and seasonality.
